Ariana Johns

Ariana has been seen Off-Broadway and in Los Angeles in several productions including Pigeons On The Walk at The Actors Outlet, Baby With The Bathwater for which she received an ADA nomination and the Irish verse play, The Midnight Courtfor which she is the recipient of a Drama-LogueAward. Ariana received critical acclaim for her work as Shelly Winters in the world premiere of Robert Patrick’s Hello, Bob and for her original monologues performed in the SOLO series with Sandra Tsing-Loh. Regionally, she’s worked with Allison Janney (Spring Awakening and The Real Inspector Hound), Joanne Woodward, Judith Ivey (Hay Fever) and Mark Moses (Romeo and Juliet).
She began her comedy and improv career with Chicago City Limits in NYC and subsequently became a founding member of OK, So We Lied!, a comedy/improv group spawned by CCL which had a five year run in NYC.


Ariana’s plays and playlets have been produced on both coasts. In New York City her dark comedy, Stay Pretty was produced at The Cubiculo Theatre and The Producer’s Club; I Got The Stagestruck Blues…(co-author) at Hamburger Harry’s Off-Broadway Theatre and BoarsHead Theatre in Lansing, MI. In Los Angeles, Moonbite and various shorts for Writing Out Loud were produced at AAT; Rapturous Delirium was produced at AAT and The Road Theatre; Cupid’s Delights at Theatre East; Two Olivesat The Cinegrille; Flight To Arkadelphia (co-author) at NoHo Studio Theatre; Cupid’s Revenge at Metropole Theatre Works; Juliette and Valerie for the SOLO Festival at Theatre East and The Perfect Boyfriend at Theatre 40.

Ariana’s short stories and poetry have been published in Thirst For Fire, Barcid Homily,, Samsara, Candlestones, Poetry Forum and Moon Magic.

Ariana is the Artistic Director of Vampingo Productions with her partner Greg Mullavey.
